Isotropic Pyrolytic Graphite (IPG) is a material featuring a unique set of mechanical and physical parameters attributable to its nanostructuring achieved in the process of chemical vapor deposition. Development of this material enabled the creation of a number of aerospace products comparable to the best globally available counterparts. Approaches for perfection of this material and its perspectives for the modern technical applications are the main topics of the presentation of VIRIAL’s engineers to be made at the “Modern High-temperature Composite Mateials and Coatings” conference, which will be held on April 4th 2013 in the VIAM National Research Centre, Moscow, Russia.
Approaches developed at VIRIAL Ltd. lead to major improvement of the IPG parameters and tailoring of the material properties. The full text of the presentation is expected to be published in the conference proceedings book.
