Pyrolytic carbon

Description

Various modifications of pyrolytic carbon are typically processed by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technique.
Anisotropic pyrolytic carbon (pyro-graphite) features high physical and mechanical parameters, stability against erosion and aggressive media, impermeability for liquids and gases, and a distinct anisotropy of its physical and mechanical parameters.
Pyro-carbon products include plates, tubes, crucibles, ampoules, boats, and complex-shaped parts. Pyro-carbon is also used as coatings on graphite substrates.

Applications

  • Consumables for analytic systems
  • Boats, evaporation cells
  • Dies for non-ferrous sheet metal forming
  • Heating elements for high-temperature systems
  • Rings, sleeves for friction units
  • Crucibles for melting high-purity metals
